Sam Johnson Playing BottleRock 2020 in Napa!

San Francisco singer/songwriter Sam Johnson is playing BottleRock Napa! Sam won a spot on the Sail Across The Sun music festival at sea that features Train and Matt Nathanson and has been gaining more and more traction with all the singles he’s been releasing over the past six months.

Sam is playing on Saturday May 23rd, the same day that Stevie Nicks, Khalid, Janelle Monae, Blondie, Of Monsters And Men, Empire of the Sun, Tegan and Sara, and many more. So proud to see Sam getting the recognition he deserves!

The festival sold out in record time, so hopefully you got your tickets already!

UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, BottleRock has been postponed to October 2-4, 2020. Be sure to watch their website for any further announcements.

Frantic Romantic Release "Someday" Single & Video

After a successful show playing FestiArte (Plaza Alameda Otay) in Tijuana Mexico, San Jose dreampop band Frantic Romantic released their new single “Someday” with a pastel-laden music video in which singer Mr. Kerosene and guitarist Rube Walker jump into a 80's synth wave hellscape. “Someday” is available on all outlets, including Spotify and Apple Music.

The Go Ahead Announce Shows & Spotify Playlist Placements

San Francisco rockers The Go Ahead announced new shows starting with Pop Rocks Presents show on Wednesday August 7 at Harvard & Stone (Los Angeles), Balanced BreakFEST on Saturday September 21 at Amnesia (San Francisco), and Santa Cruz Music Festival on Saturday October 19 at Blue Lagoon (Santa Cruz).

Their new single “Falling To Pieces” has also been picked up by a few Spotify Playlists, including Just Indie (by It’s All Indie), Chill Days (by Caltify MX), and Lyft Essentials (Day Mode) (by Lyft Essentials).

The trio is performing 29 shows, starting with June 2 at Santa Cruz Pride and ending on August 23 in their hometown Oakland. Frantic Romantic Rerelease Victoria Trap Album & Announce Santa Cruz Show

San Jose dreampop quintet Frantic Romantic are rereleasing The Victoria Trap album which was previously available under their old band name Skyway View. The Victoria Trap features some of the band’s best singles including “Made of Glass,” “Crimson Petal,” and “Never Let Me Go.” The band is premiering one single every week day from February 14 to February 28 on their YouTube, starting with “Wilted Heart,” which appropriately surfaced online on Valentine’s Day. The full album will be out February 28th on Spotify and all major outlets.

Frantic Romantic also announced their first Santa Cruz show on Saturday March 2nd at Blue Lagoon with Threat To Self and Birdo.

The Go Ahead Playing Two Female-Themed SF Shows on 10/27

The Go Ahead are bombarding San Francisco with two shows this Saturday, October 27th! First, the band takes the stage at Bandwagon’s “Women In Music” event with The She’s and Zelma Stone from 12-6pm, part of their Summer Music Series at Anchor Taps. Then, the band rocks PianoFight’s Femme Fatale Halloween Party with Thrown Out Bones from 10pm on, so dress as your favorite lady of the night and join in on the dancing and costume contests for the best dressed lethal enchantress!

The Go Ahead Selected For Topgolf's Who Will Rock You Season 2!

After auditioning in LA back in September, The Go Ahead were selected for Season 2 of Topgolf’s Who Will Rock You digital series! The band will compete with 23 other bands from all around the US with the hopes to advance to the finals in Nashville and win! If you’re in Las Vegas on Oct 21st or Oct 22nd, you can apply to be in the audience for the filming and get paid for it. As of right now, The Go Ahead are scheduled to film on Monday October 22nd. Stay tuned for more info; the band and I can’t wait to share this experience with you!

Life Size Models Playing Bandwagon Summer Series Aug 25th

BandWagon announced their SF Summer Music Series taking place the last Saturday of each month August through October.  Each concert will have a different music theme, from indie rock to funk and soul and beyond. BandWagon, a unique mobile music venue, will curate its stage with local talent to keep the crowd movin’ and groovin’ all day. 

At each event, they’ll be pouring a special, small-batch BandWagon collaboration beer on tap. For August’s event, try BandWagon Wheat, a light, fruity, and refreshing beer brewed at Anchor Public Taps.

Life Size Models will be headlining Saturday, August 25th date, which also features performances by Your Fearless Leader and The Cires.

Planet Booty & TWRP Unite For New Single & Tour

Oakland's Planet Booty and Toronto's TWRP partnered on the single “Tactile Sensation,” which is featured on TWRP’s new album Together Through Time, releasing today May 18th.  You can stream the single here, plus check out the great article about these two bands uniting for this awesome song in The Bay Bridged.  Planet Booty is opening for TWRP during their album release concert at The Opera House in Toronto tonight, then the bands will tour together this summer, playing about 30 dates across the US including a show at Brick and Mortar Music Hall in San Francisco on July 7th.bri
